Euro.12.9.15inside1A dance fiesta was presented by the tiny tots of Euro Kids Prep School, New Shimla, here today at the historic Gaiety Theatre as Rani Smt. Pratibha Singh, Chairperson HP Red Cross Society presided over the function as the chief guest. She was warmly greeted by Euroites Amba and Abhigyan as they presented a bouquet, followed by the lighting of the lamp and a presentation of a token gift by Principal Euro Kids, Ravine Singh to honour Smt Singh and Vinod Kumar, President of the Taekwondo Association. To invoke the blessings of God, a Ganesh Vandana was beautifully performed by students.

Euro.12.9.15insideWhat followed next was a cultural treat for all the parents and guests present. The theme of the event was ‘Dances of India’ and the little ones gave in their best. Starting from the North as Kashmiri Dance ‘Dariyavan Taran Taran’ was sweetly and innocently performed; next was a Goan Dance ‘Maria Pitache’, followed by a foot tapping Punjabi Bhangra.

An audio video presentation highlighting the last 10 years journey of Euro Kids in Shimla was also shown. It also included briefs about the academic activities followed in the school. Next were a couple of more dance performances by the tiny tots. A Gujarati Disco ‘Dandiya’, Maharashtran Dance ‘Me Ai koli’ and the South Indian beats ‘ Tollywood Dance won hearts of all present. Under the able-guidance of coach Roop Lal and assistance Madhu Thakur, the Euroites display their Taekwando skills and athletic agility. The grand finale of the evening was a Naati by Euro moms and grand-moms who were present to lend their support and encourage their wards.

The day ended with an encouraging speech by the chief guest. Smt Singh said, “It was a great pleasure to see the children perform so beautifully. The hard work of the school principal and the teachers is very much appreciated as it takes great amount of patience to teach little kids and get to perform them with so much confidence and ease”. Rani Singh then distributed the prizes to parents for awards won during various activities held in the school during the current academic year.

Special prizes were won by Santosh Parihar and Sashi Raitka, while Shruti Bharmar, Sharvari P Masudi, Nisha Dhanta and Pooja Thakur won the first, second, third and consolation prizes and among gentlemen the awards went to Manoj Pathak, Pankaj Parihar, Saurabh Kapoor and Vikram Nanda. as a token of appreciation Euro mothers and grandmothers were also present mementoes — Varsha Bhardwaj, Kavita Chauhan, Reema Chauhan, Neeti Sood, Madhu Sud, Vijay Laxmi Sood, Nisha Verma, Monika Kapoor among others.

The hard work of the teachers Shalini, Renu, Rachna, Kartika, Sonia and Saumya was lauded by all and received a huge round of applause.
