APG Shimla University held an emotional and vibrant farewell party in the university auditorium on Friday, organized by the Student Welfare Department under the leadership of Dean Dr. Neelam Rattan Sharma and Dr. Maninder Kaur. The event was marked by spirited cultural performances from junior students, expressing their affection and best wishes for the outgoing batch.
The ceremony was graced by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. R.S. Chauhan as the chief guest, with Chancellor Engineer Suman Vikrant and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ramesh Chauhan attending as special guests. The programme commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting at the feet of Maa Saraswati, symbolizing wisdom and learning.
Vice-Chancellor Chauhan applauded the students for their talents and achievements, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning, dedication, and integrity. “Every end is a new beginning,” he said, urging students to uphold the values of the university and make their mark wherever they go.
During the event, outstanding students from various streams were honored with Certificates of Excellence, mementos, and trophies for their achievements in academics, sports, and cultural events.
Cultural activities including Pahadi songs, poetry recitations, drama, dance, and a ramp walk captivated the audience. The campus came alive with music and dance, culminating in an emotional DJ night where students danced to nostalgic tracks like Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.

Pragati Singh Raj was crowned Miss Farewell
Ritesh Sharma was named Mr. Farewell
Shubham was recognized as Mr. Personality
Deepa earned the title of Miss Personality Farewell.
The event witnessed the presence of senior university officials including Registrar Prof. Dr. R.L. Sharma, Academic Dean Prof. Dr. Anand Mohan Sharma, and faculty members from various departments, adding warmth and encouragement to the farewell celebration.
