Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla released a book titled ‘First Freedom Struggle’ authored by Jagdish Sharma at Raj Bhavan today. Shukla appreciated the efforts of the author and said that books help us to expand our knowledge. The governor expressed confidence that this book will bring clarity in readers’ perspective towards the first freedom struggle and will strengthen the new generation’s faith and belief in the martyrs who fought for the freedom of the country.

He hoped that the book will inspire to readers to selflessly serve society and humanity. Jagdish Sharma, who retired from the government services as a deputy director, expressed his gratitude towards the Governor and said that for writing this book he collected factual evidences by doing in-depth study and research on the activities and lives of martyrs.

Secretary to the Governor, Rajesh Sharma, Director, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Rajesh Sharma, retired Indian Administrative Officer Dr. K.R. Bharti, retired Deputy Director M.B. Sharma, retired Secretary Dr. Mastram Sharma, Assistant Secretary Language and Culture Department Dr. Shyama Verma and other dignitaries were also present.
