Auckland House School Junior Section Annual Day was held here today as young innocent children enticed their parents with their cute and heartwarming performances. The chief guest for the occasion was Rebecca Susan Weale, Dean of Admissions and External Relations of Bishop Cotton School, Shimla, who was warmly greeted by Director Principal Sunita John and Principal Auckland School for Boys Michael John.

The children performed a variety of dances showcasing the vibrancy of our country from staging a song from Gujarat to Rajasthan, others being a Pahari dance, peacocks dancing in the rain, fishermen celebrating their catch, and the age-old classic ‘Wake Me Up!’  The English musical play titled ‘The Frog Prince’, action songs based on the theme Swach Bharat Abhiyan and melodious songs by the amateur choir girls.

The children made their parents proud by displaying their talent as they danced, sung and acted. A brief report of the school was read by the Principal John highlighting the achievements of the junior wing students during the year. The programme ended with the prize distribution for outstanding performances in academics and art. The Chief Guest appreciated the performances displayed by the tiny tots and hoping that they would grow up to be bright young girls who would be creative and build on ideas for a better world.
