The Directorate of Rural Development, Himachal Pradesh has rolled out the post-deletion module in the Awaas+ system to ensure a transparent and systematic finalization of the Permanent Wait List (PWL) under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana–Gramin (PMAY-G), in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Union Ministry of Rural Development.
A spokesperson of the department said that after completion of the deletion process, the newly introduced module allows Gram Sabhas to examine the system-generated priority list, verify beneficiary details and recommend necessary corrections in line with the prescribed eligibility and prioritization norms. Every modification made in the system must be supported by recorded reasons, ensuring greater transparency and accountability throughout the process.
The spokesperson added that the module incorporates several transparency measures, including geo-tagged photographs of Gram Sabha meetings, auto-generated proceedings, authentication through signatures and official stamps of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), and AI-based validation of uploaded documents.
Eligible households whose names do not appear in the Gram Sabha-approved list can file an appeal before the District Appellate Committee under the provisions of the scheme. Once all appeals are decided, the finalized Permanent Wait List will serve as the basis for sanctioning houses under PMAY-G.
