In a powerful display of environmental commitment, the 133 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Eco Dogra, a leading organization in afforestation efforts across Himachal Pradesh, spearheaded a series of eco-friendly initiatives in celebration of World Environment Day 2025. From June 3rd to June 5th, the battalion organized a wide range of activities—including plantation and cleanliness drives, environmental awareness lectures, and community engagement programs—across multiple locations: Kufri, Tattapani, and Aut.
Highlights of the Green Initiative:

Educational Outreach at Navodaya School: Officers from the 133 Eco Task Force delivered insightful lectures on environmental conservation, followed by a cleanliness and plastic waste removal drive. Students, teachers, and troops participated in a tree plantation session.

Youth Engagement at ITI Sunni: A Company of the unit conducted a lecture and plantation drive at the ITI in Sunni, emphasizing the importance of sustainability. The event also featured a cleanliness campaign involving active student and faculty participation.

Community Participation at Govt Middle School, Larji: B Company collaborated with local health officials, Mahila Mandal members, school students, and civil representatives for a community plantation drive and awareness session.

Eco-Action in Kufri: Cleanliness and plantation drives were conducted at Chinni Bangla and the Himalayan Nature Park, involving local residents and Eco Task Force personnel.

Rotary Club Collaboration: An environmental awareness session was held for Rotary Club volunteers at the unit location in Kufri, culminating in a Mega Tree Plantation event jointly conducted by Rotary youth and 133 Eco Task Force troops.
