In collaboration with the Department of Language and Culture, Himachal Pradesh, Abhivyakti is set to host an exciting event as part of the HC Rai Centenary ArtsFest. This five-day celebration, scheduled from October 18 to October 22, 2023, aims to pay tribute to the late HC Rai, a luminary in the world of art and culture.
HC Rai was honored with the prestigious Sardar Sobha Singh Lifetime Achievement Award by the H.P. Government for his significant contributions as the Founder Principal of RKMV College, Shimla, and H.P. Govt. College of Arts, Shimla.
The event, dedicated to HC Rai’s memory, seeks to inspire and nurture young artists across Himachal Pradesh while celebrating his rich artistic legacy. It will take place at the Gaiety Theatre, specifically in the Lalit Kala Exhibition Hall & Rehearsal Hall.
HC Rai Centenary ArtsFest : Igniting Creativity, Painting Dreams, and Celebrating Colorful Expression
Children’s Art Workshops & Competitions on October 19, 2023
Honoring her father’s memory, Amala Rai has curated a creative extravaganza for young minds. On October 19, 2023, from 10 am to 1 pm, the event will feature Children’s Art Workshops & Competitions. It promises to be a day filled with artistic exploration and expression.
The event is divided into two segments: a morning workshop from 10 am to 12 noon, followed by the competition from 12 noon to 1 pm. Participants will be grouped into two categories: Junior (Classes 3 to 6) and Senior (Classes 7 to 10). Each school can send two participants, and the medium for this creative endeavor is poster colors and crayons.
Important Information for Participants
Participants are required to bring their own colors, brushes, and a water bowl. However, art paper will be provided. It’s advisable to carry water bottles to stay refreshed during the event. Light refreshments will be provided after the competition. Each school group must be accompanied by at least one school teacher. As seats are limited, schools are encouraged to share participant details via email at the earliest. For inquiries or clarifications, participants and schools can reach out via email or phone.
