Today, I feel honoured to have the opportunity to speak on such an important issue that everyone needs to be aware and wary of. Let us understand about, ‘human trafficking’, so you all must be thinking that what is this human trafficking.

Human trafficking refers to the act of the doer that is the traffickers who mostly are men and children and in some cases women also. They lure their victims who are especially women and young children using varying deceptive techniques. When this form of abuse of power and exploitation is done to children and kids, it is called child trafficking.

These young children who place their trust in dangerous strangers are traffic and find themselves helpless in the most difficult situations where they cannot even get out of. The rate of this serious crime and violation of human rights, where every year the number of victims falling pray and being traffic in their home country and abroad is only rising.

There are three types of human traffickers, the most common being:
1 Sex trafficking.
2 Forced trafficking: also known as involuntary servitude, is the biggest sector of trafficking in the world.
3 Debt bondage.

According to U.S Department of state :
There are 10 worst countries for human trafficking:
1. China
2. Russia
3. Eritrea
4. Iran
5. North Korea
6. Sudan

Now you all must be wondering after hearing all this that every year how many cases must have occur of human trafficking. Each year, an estimated six to eight lakh men, women and children are trafficked across international borders. Human rights are something that everyone should have, and when it’s violated, it’s a crime against humanity.

At the end, I would like to spread this message that if these things are happening with anyone, I hope it won’t happen there are some prevention measures that should be taken, such as:
1. Enact training and awareness programs.
2. Examine order placement practices.
3. Continually monitor trafficking risk.
