“India This Week” – Series of Celebrations Begin in St. Thomas School

Students of St. Thomas’ School Shimla, are geared to celebrate the upcoming Independence Day as various competitions are being held in the school. The prelude to celebrations in form of an Inauguration Ceremony of Youth Festival titled ‘India This Week’ was held here today where Nidhi Sharma, Principal Stokes Memorial School, Pujarli was present as the Chief Guest.

The festival kick started with a mehandi and a rangoli competition. The results of the competition were First Aarushi; Second Ekta and Third Tanvi whereas consolation prize went to Ruchika in mehandi competition.

In Rangoli making Kasturi House was declared first, while Chinar was Second and Toshqui third.

Namita Sood and Nanadni Banarjee were also present on the occasion along with the School Principal, Vidhupriya Chakravarty.

The celebrations will continue with competitions like — Hiroshima Day; Inter House Flower Arrangement; Dry Cooking; Quiz; Solo Dance and Singing; and Mantra Ucharan.
