Indian Army Celebrates 9th Armed Forces Veterans Day in Shimla

The Indian Army, under the Aegis of HQ ARTRAC (Army Training Command) Shimla, celebrated the 9th Armed Forces Veterans Day on Monday, January 13, 2025. The Veterans Day celebrations at Shimla served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our brave Soldiers and importance of honouring their service and legacy.

The event not only strengthened the bond between serving personnel and Veterans but also reinforced the Army’s commitment to the welfare and well-being of its veterans. They have devoted considerable years of their lives in service of the nation. The day is dedicated to the esteemed Veterans of the country and re-affirms the camaraderie between the retired and the serving Soldiers.

GOC-in-C ARTRAC, Lt Gen Devendra Sharma, AVSM, SM on the momentous occasion felicitated Colonel KS Manta (Retd) belonging to Shimla (HP), Colonel Rajesh Kumar Sharma (Retd) belonging to Jawalamukhi, Distt kangra (HP), Hav/Clk Manish Kumar (Retd) belonging to Village Dayala,Distt Shimla (HP), Nk Amar Chand (Retd) belonging to Sanjauli, Distt Shimla (HP) , in recognition of the immense contribution of the Veterans towards upliftment of the society.
