History, art, and architectural heritage took center stage as Auckland House School for Boys hosted the INTACH National Heritage Quiz 2026, bringing together young minds from five prominent schools across Shimla. Organised in collaboration with Xpress Minds Edutainment by the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), the prestigious event aimed to cultivate a deeper appreciation of India’s cultural legacy among students through healthy academic competition.
The intellectual showdown kicked off with a rigorous written preliminary round that narrowed the field down to four top-performing teams representing Auckland House School for Boys, Auckland House School for Girls, St. Edward’s School, and Saraswati Paradise International School. The subsequent oral round tested the participants with challenging questions spanning Indian history, monuments, and timeless traditions, showcasing exceptional teamwork and quick thinking from the young scholars.
When the final scores were tallied, St. Edward’s School clinched the championship title, followed closely by Auckland House School for Girls in second place. The host institution, Auckland House School for Boys, proudly secured the third position, while Saraswati Paradise International School finished fourth. The programme concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, celebrating a vibrant exchange of knowledge and reinforcing the critical role of heritage education in shaping culturally aware citizens.
