51 Top Stories have been selected to be published as an Anthology of Short Stories by Children. The Final list of Winners is shared below.

Bachpan, Masti aur Hum… the perfect maxim to define “KEEKLI” and what our Portal intends to portray. The purity and virtuousness with which children present their emotions and express themselves freely always inspires us to showcase their talent through our Annual Creative Competitions organized by Keekli Charitable Trust.

Under the present circumstances, when children are generally confined to their rooms, particularly to their computers with online classes, web-based assignments and gaming, the concept of enjoying ordinary day to day common place happenings passes by them. Through such story writing competitions, our aim is to help children understand the niceties of common place living and the pleasures of being one with nature. For this it is important that they learn to enjoy things.

To quote Cathy Nutbrown, “Pausing to listen to an airplane in the sky, stooping to watch a ladybug on a plant, sitting on a rock to watch the waves crash over the quayside – children have their own agendas and timescales.  As they find out more about their world and their place in it, they work hard not to let adults hurry them.  We need to hear their voices”.

It gives us immense pleasure to annouce the Winners of the Story Writing Competition. The list is in alphabetical order. The judges were highly impressed with the creativity and expressions shared by our young writers. Even though we had few close calls but then a decision had to be made to select the best stories. We wish to congratulate each and every participant who made an effort to share their stories with us. Writing is the first step, which you all have taken, the next step is to better yourself. We shared innumerable tips and suggestion on how you can become good writers and only with time and experience you can become great.

We also intend to make this venture an annual feature so keep practicing — read, read, read… and write, write, write…

The next phase will be interactive sessions by our esteemed Judges & Mentors to teach you how to improve your writing skills and further improve upon your stories. Each winner will receive individual feedback on how to modify his / her story based on our judges reviews and they will re-submit the final corrected stories. Thereafter, these stories will be edited before we start the design process.
