NCC Camp fostering teamwork and camaraderie

The second day of the 2nd Annual Training Camp of the 1HP Girls Battalion NCC Solan commenced with a refreshing and invigorating morning PT session, setting a robust tone for the day ahead. Under the clear skies of UHF Nauni, the cadets demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and discipline.

The day’s highlight was the firing session supervised by Camp Commandant, Colonel Sanjay Shandil. He personally instructed the cadets, imparting crucial techniques and insights on effective firing. His hands-on approach and meticulous supervision were greatly appreciated by the cadets, fostering a deeper understanding of precision and safety in handling firearms.

Simultaneously, other cadets participated in a drill class and a weapon training class. These sessions were designed to enhance their technical skills and discipline, which are fundamental aspects of NCC training.

In the afternoon session, the cadets attended a lecture-cum-demonstration on CPR by trained health officials. This session provided essential life-saving techniques and practical demonstrations, ensuring that the cadets were well-versed in emergency response skills. The hands-on training was highly informative and gave the cadets a solid foundation in CPR.

Following the CPR session, Geetanjali Kayshap, an eminent speaker, delivered an inspiring talk on life skills. Kayshap’s session was both enlightening and motivating, providing the cadets with valuable insights into personal development, resilience, and effective communication. Her dynamic presentation style and relatable anecdotes captivated the audience, leaving a lasting impact on the cadets.

Later, Dr. Harleen delivered an informative lecture on dental health. Her expert knowledge and practical advice on maintaining oral hygiene were immensely beneficial. Dr. Harleen emphasized the importance of dental health in overall well-being, providing the cadets with actionable tips to incorporate into their daily routines.

The evening was marked by a lively games class, where the cadets engaged in various sports activities, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. This was followed by a cultural program featuring a Solo Song and Solo Dance competition among the junior wing cadets. The performances were vibrant and showcased the immense talent and creativity within the battalion. The cultural program provided a delightful end to a day filled with learning and growth.
