Patriotic Fervor at Army Tripeak Public School, Pooh

The 76th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervor at Army Tripeak Public School Pooh, HP under the aegis of Tripeaks. In line with ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the school held many engaging activities that involved students, staff, and faculty members. The celebrations for Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav commenced on the 13th of August with a declamation competition where students from classes 3rd to 8th presented their views on the topic “My Vision for India in 2047”, which co incidentally was also the Centrepoint of the Hon’ble PM’s speech on Independence Day 2022. A drawing competition was also conducted in the school on 12th August in which stn dets of all classes from pre-primary to 8th class took part.

Promoting the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, the school decorated various spots in and around the school campus with the national flag. Students and teachers conducted a rally spreading the message of oneness to the locals in the high-altitude areas of Kinnaur and up to the apple orchards of Dev Bhoomi Himachal. The feeling of patriotism could be seen in the eyes of all the students, staff and faculty during the flag march on the bright and sunny morning 14th of August.

The celebration of the 76th Independence Day began with everyone singing the national anthem in unison. This was followed by speech by students on Independence Day, in which freedom fighters of our country were remembered. This was followed by cultural event performances by the students from nursery to class 8th, wherein cultures and traditions of various states of India were displayed in full colour. Dance performances by students on various patriotic songs won everyone’s heart movements. Prizes were distributed to the students who had performed well in various competitions and academically. Brig Pradeep Mehta, Cdr Tripeaks presented books of different genres for the school library. Cdr Tripeaks speaking on the occasion appreciated the relentless efforts of students and teachers in making the school grow in strength and reputation. He also appreciated the consistent endeavors of our armed forces in protecting our country bravely. He urged students to realize, understand and cherish our coveted freedom and work towards a progressive nation. He extended his warm greetings to all the teachers, students and their families on the occasion of Independence Day.

At last, Ms Pushpa Devi, Principal ATPS Pooh, extended a vote of thanks to all the participating students and staff who made the event a success and the management and Indian Army in assisting the school to function smoothly. With freedom in their minds, faith in their words, and pride in their hearts, ATPS Pooh concluded the event by pledging to uphold the spirit of unity in every possible way and contribute to nation building.
