The progress of Mukya Mantri Sukh Aashray Yojna (MMSYA) was reviewed in a virtual meeting of all the District Programme Officers and District Child Protection Officers of the state held here today chaired by M. Sudha Devi, Secretary (SJ& E). The Secretary directed to speed up the process of providing the benefits such as Quality Education, Mentorship and Career Counseling, providing Clothing allowance, Festival and Marriage Grants, allotment of Land and Grant for Construction of Houses.
Annual Educational Tours outside the State, sponsoring Coaching /Higher Education Academic/ Vocational Training/ Skill Development courses, providing Self Employment/Start-Up Assistance to the orphans/ Children in Need of Care and Protection, under MMSAY. She further directed all the field functionaries including Supervisors/ Anganwadi Workers to conduct the survey for the identification of orphans in the State in campaign mode and complete the same within a period of 21 days and submit the details of the identified orphans to the concerned Deputy Commissioner for covering the orphans under MMSAY.
The survey will be conducted on a mission mode so that no child is left behind to avail the benefits. The direction was given that the Application Forms should be made readily available in the Block Level Offices so that it can be easily approachable by the applicant. She said that under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the state government has launched “Mukhya Mantri Sukh-Aashray Scheme” and constituted a fund “Mukhya Mantri Sukh Aashray Kosh” to facilitate Higher Education and Skill Development training of children and Ekal Nari to ensure their betterment. M. Sudha Devi, directed to process the application received under Mukhya Mantri Sukh Aashray Yojna as per the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) taking it up on mission mode. Director Women and Child Development Rupali Thakur and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
