Bengaluru Gears Up for G20-Digital Innovation Alliance Summit with Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s Inauguration. Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, is all set to inaugurate the prestigious G20-Digital Innovation Alliance (G20-DIA) Summit in Bengaluru, commencing from tomorrow.

Hosted over a span of two days on the sidelines of the Fourth meeting of the Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) under G20, the Summit will assemble a global assembly of experts and digital visionaries, including representatives from diverse G20 nations. This dynamic gathering will engage in in-depth discussions concerning pivotal topics such as ‘Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI)’, ‘Security in the Digital Economy’, and ‘Digital Skilling’.

Simultaneously, an innovation exhibition will also be inaugurated by the Minister, featuring contributions from both corporate entities and startups, enriching the vibrant atmosphere of the event.

Aligned with India’s G20 Presidency, the G20-DIA initiative, facilitated through the MeitY Startup Hub, celebrates and fosters the advancement of startups across G20 countries and nine invited guest nations. These startups operate within six sectors, namely Ed-tech, Health-tech, Agri-tech, Fin-tech, Secured Digital Infrastructure, and Circular Economy. Their pioneering use of digital technologies to address critical global challenges takes center stage.

An impressive cohort of 174 startups hailing from 29 different countries participates in this endeavor. As part of the G20-DIA Summit, these startups will present their groundbreaking concepts before a distinguished panel of global leaders.

Concluding on August 18, the Summit will culminate with an awards ceremony. Here, 30 of the most remarkable startups will receive well-deserved recognition across various categories. This event stands as a testament to the dynamic collaboration of innovation and technology in shaping a more empowered and interconnected world.
