Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister, Anirudh Singh in a review meeting with the officers of the department here today, directed to set targets for themselves and fix deadline for completion of development works. He said that the government was committed for the welfare for the people of the State and was according topmost priority for achieving the same. “We need to strengthen the rural economy and the officers should come with innovative ideas to achieve the same to benefit the rural poor” said the Minister.
To provide gainful employment to the youth and motivate them to adopt farming practices on large scale, new initiatives should be taken to motivate them to adopt organic farming in big way. Earlier, Director, Rural Development, Rugved Thakur welcomed the Minister and detailed about various schemes being implemented by the department. Secretary, Panchayati Raj, Priyatu Mandal, and other senior officers of the department attended the meeting.
