Road Network Expansion Under PMGSY-3 and Other Schemes

Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh said here today that the state government is working with commitment for the overall development of the state. He said that continuous efforts are being made to ensure inclusive development of every sector.

Vikramaditya Singh said that for strengthening the road network in the state, 2000 kilometers roads would be upgraded by the Public Works Department under PMGSY-3 scheme. 679 kilometers of roads would be constructed under FDR and 468 kilometers under CTB and other roads would be constructed with traditional technology. The State will prepare DPRs under PMGSY-4 for 900 kilometers length already constructed under PMGSY-1.

He said that in the year 2025-26, the tarring work will be started on 625 km of new roads, out of which 425 km roads will be tarred under NABARD and 200 km roads under SCDP, Rural Road and MMGSY. The Public Works Minister said that the construction of 500 new roads would be started in the state in 2025-26, out of which 300 km road will be constructed under NABARD and 200 km roads under Special Core Development Program, Rural Road and Mukhya Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Apart from this, 50 km roads will be upgraded under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund Scheme.

He said that keeping in mind the facilities for the people of the state, the construction work of 50 bridges and 35 new buildings will be started during the year 2025-26. Apart from this, 1800 km roads will be repaired and renovated under the annual maintenance plan. Under the Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana, 10 lakh square meter patch work will be carried out which will make 3500 km of roads pot hole free, he said. Vikramaditya Singh said that many new schemes will also be implemented in the next year under the Urban Development Department. He said that a two month IEC campaign will be launched for community participation in view of improvement in solid waste management in the state.

He said that to provide facilities to the people of the state at their doorstep, eight online services including trade, license, garbage collection, billing, permission for advertisement, hoarding, canopy management, pet registration, property tax, grievance module, asset monetization and management and RDF monitoring module would be launched by the government in the next year, which will be made available to the people under a single portal (UPYOG). Drone based GIS for property mapping and door to door family survey work will be started for creating Pariwar registers for urban local bodies to improve data accuracy and service delivery.

The Public Works Minister said that parks and parking will be constructed in distant urban local bodies. Apart from this, Samadhan Shivir will be organized for quick redressal of public grievances so that they do not have to face any kind of inconvenience. He said that Mukhyamantri Shehri Ajeevika Yojana will be implemented on the pattern of MNREGA so that maximum number of people could be benefited. Apart from this, Shehri Samridhi Utsav (NULM fair) will be launched soon with the objective of encouraging people’s participation and community welfare.

Vikramaditya Singh said that universal coverage water supply in urban areas would be ensured, focusing on metering, efficient distribution networks and waster source sustainability under AMRUT. He said that 20 projects worth Rs. 84.28 crore would also be completed under AMRUT.
