Rotary Shimla Child Heartline Project: Providing Free Heart Surgery For Children

Rotary Club Shimla has Started its Rotary Shimla Child Heartline Project under this Project all children up to the age of 16 yrs who have any kind of heart problem and are not covered under any Govt medical Scheme, Rotary club Shimla will get the treatment done free of cost including surgeries. This was informed by Rtn Amit Pal Sood President Rotary Club Shimla. He also stated that Rtn Dr Sudhir Mehta Prof & Head CVTS IGMC will be Chairman of this Project.

The first heart surgery has been successfully conducted by Rtn Dr Sudhir Mehta and his team in CTVS at IGMC Shimla. The surgery has been undertaken for a boy named Kishore Sai who was detected with a 23 mm hole in the heart. The,surgery was successful and today on 25th Oct he has been discharged from IGMC Shimla.

Funds had been generously donated by Rotary Club Shimla members. Payment for the operation was handed over to Mr Prem father of the boy in Presence of Doctors of from IGMC. Medicines for the boy have also been purchased by Rotary Shimla and given to the family of the boy. The public is further informed that if any such kind of children who have heart problem and are not able to get treatment due to financial constraints can Inform Rotary Club Shimla who will do their level best to get the treatment done.
