Your children are not your children. They are sons and daughters of life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you. And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. Your children are the greatest gift God will give to you, and their souls the heaviest responsibility, he will place in your hands. Parents of Auckland House Girls School’s Junior Section got an opportunity to see their tiny tots give their best as they all participated in the Annual Sports Day held in the school premises.
Raj Vats, Chief Manager, Tenzin Hospital, Shimla, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. She was extremely happy with the performance of the little ones and recalled her journey from the time she first joined Auckland House School and how her life was changed by one advice by her coach Vyas. She got recognition at the international level too for her contribution in the field of sports.
The enthusiastic parents got an opportunity to watch various events that included P.T. Display with balls and umbrellas on some lively music. The whole ground became vibrant with umbrella display as children with purple, pink and blue umbrellas performed various exercises.
Then came the turn for the races from Nursery to Class II which included Butterfly Race by Nursery A, Pin Wheel Race by Nursery B, Bunny Race by L.K.G. A, Balancing the Ball Race by U.K.G. B, Santa Claus Race by U.K.G. A, Bursting the Balloon by Form I A, Caterpillar Race by I B, Obstacle Race by II A and Partners Race by Form II B.
Children looked cute in their colorful get ups as they performed different races. It was a complete blend of creativity and sports where every hand was a winner. The excitement and thrill during the skating race was as its peak. Everyone enjoyed the day to the fullest where little ones innocence won hearts of all as they placed their best foot forward.
School Principal Sunita John appreciated the parents for becoming part of this event and laid stress on their significance especially during their early childhood. She also thanked the parents for being supportive through the rough times that school faced during the recent times and hoped that school will continue to grow in strength day by day.
