Deputy CM and Jal Shakti Minister Mukesh Agnihotri announced today that the restoration of drinking water schemes damaged in the recent disaster in Saraj Assembly Constituency is progressing rapidly and with top priority.
He informed that out of 241 affected drinking water schemes, 150 have already been partially restored. Restoration work on the remaining schemes is ongoing, with departmental teams working round the clock to ensure early resumption of water supply.
Despite facing challenges such as difficult terrain and flooded rivers, field staff and officers are reaching remote areas to repair damaged infrastructure. The Deputy CM praised their dedication and resilience in the face of adversity.
Agnihotri added that he is personally monitoring the situation, regularly reviewing progress and issuing necessary directions to officials. “Ensuring safe and uninterrupted drinking water supply is a top priority, and any negligence will not be tolerated,” he emphasized.
The Deputy CM assured that the government is fully committed to restoring drinking water services in all affected villages of Saraj at the earliest, aiming to minimize public inconvenience.
