Scholarship Deadline Extended for Students with Disabilities

The Directorate of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh, has informed all concerned that the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), New Delhi, is implementing scholarships for studcents with disabilities for the academic year 2025-26 through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) https://scholarships.gov.in.

The Under Secretary (DBT) Mission, Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India, has extended the deadlines for all Post-Matric and Top Class Central Sector Scholarship Schemes for students with disabilities as follows:

  • Last date for receipt of applications: 15 December 2025

  • Last date for INO level verification (L1): 31 December 2025

  • Last date for DNO/SNO/Ministry level verification (L2): 15 January 2026

Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply within the revised timelines to avail financial support for their education.

The Director, Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh, has directed the dissemination of this information through various offices, media outlets, and the departmental website to ensure maximum awareness among eligible students.
