Aucky.6.11 (2)Auckland School Shimla brought its Sesquicentennial Celebrations to a close on a joyous note. The chief guest for the evening was the Most Rev. P.K. Samantaroy, Moderator, Church of North India and Chairman of the school. The two-tier programme included a dance drama Building for Eternity inspired by an extract from Tagore’s Gitanjali depicting the struggles faced in today’s world.

Aucky.6.11 (3)On 5th the programme first started with an opening hymn. A digital archives was presented by Dr Anuja Verma with information provided by the school. The school also felicitated the retired and present support staff and other staff members. The school also acknowledged the services of the Board of Governors and the School Alumnae. A vote of thanks was proposed by Director-Principal, Sunita John. The evening closed with dinner for all and jam session for the students.

Aucky.6.11 (4)A Valedictory service was conducted on 6th November to acknowledge the benevolence of the Almighty on the school. In his speech, the Most Rev. P.K. Samantaroy stressed on universal brotherhood and peace so essential in today’s world.

Auckland House school thus concluded a year of eventful celebration joyously and sought the blessings of the Almighty for the future.
