Shayata Startup , a startup founded by a 17-year-old student of St. Thomas’ School, Shimla, has launched an employment portal in collaboration with the school and HIMCOSTE. The startup aims to provide employment to thousands of people in India, particularly in the tailoring industry.
Launch of Shayata’s job website on Labour Day
On Labour Day, Shayata’s CEO, Shayan Abdul Jishan, launched the job website in the presence of Chief Guest Samson Masih, State Director Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Shimla, and School Principal Vidhupriya Chakravarty. The startup aims to provide employment to 10,000 people within the next six months.
School collaboration and MoU with HP government (Shayata Startup)
The School Management has signed an MoU with the HP government, which helped Shayata to form the startup. The school has also given guidance and support to Shayan in his entrepreneurial journey. The school intends to train more students in business skills to become entrepreneurs and serve the country.
Shayata’s mission and services
Shayata aims to digitise the tailoring industry in India and provide customers with a wide range of stitching and fabric varieties. The startup also offers ethnic wear and other types of clothing for customers to purchase and get stitched by Shayata. This service is expected to create employment opportunities for people in India.
Shark Tank India and private investment
Shayata has received an offer from Shark Tank India and a proposal for private investment of Rs 32 crore in exchange for a 2% stake in the company. The startup plans to launch its drone in June this year and will start receiving orders from 1st June. Shayata has already employed 118 people, and it plans to employ thousands more in the coming days.
