Student of SHEMROCK SMART KIDS won hearts of all present with their cute performances during their annual function – Shemrock Mega Showcase 2015 organized at the historic Gaiety Theatre, Shimla, here today. Principal of Loreto Convent Tara Hall School, Sister Stephanie graced the occasion with her presence and appreciated the efforts made by students and lauded the patience of the teachers for teaching young tiny tots to perform so well on the stage considering their tender age. The event started with lighting of lamp by Sister which was followed by a prayer to thank god for blessings bestowed upon each one of us. The students of all sections together then performed a welcome dance.
The young and confidents Smarties recited few poems such as the “Tota Hun; Dimple Chin; Little Tea Pot; Machli Jal ki rani; Peter patter Raindrops” among others. The main highlight of the show was a solo dance by Shambhavi on Baby Doll that took all by surprise. Another pleasant surprise was a Natti performance by the young children who made the Himachali Culture come alive on stage.
The classical dance for adults is no less than a Herculean task but the little Smarties took everyone by surprise by performing it with perfection. The mudras and their sense of rhythm was a pleasant treat for all.
The cute performance on Bum Bum Boley was yet another heart winning performance by little ones who, were seen enjoying to their maximum while performing. Other items included solo performance on songs such as Radha; Barbi Doll and dance on song India Walle as a tribute to former President APJ Abdul Kalam.
During the annual report presentation it was informed that throughout the year students have been involved in various activities that are celebrated in the schools such as Ram Naumi, Rakhi, birthday parties and similar events to teach the children about them through visual activities.
An oral dental health camp too was organized for students and picnic tour was conducted to celebrate mother’s day with students and help them show their gratitude towards their parents.
Students including Aadivar; Navyugh; Sarthak; Sara; Vaanya; Varya; Rishika; Vedant; Divyashri; Bhavya; Revansh; Paridhi; Shambhvi; Vyom; Vasuni; Arya; Priyanka; Ayaan; Ridhima; Shanaya; Shanaya; Avika; Hardik; Arsh; Sunish; Anvesha; Himanshi; Varuni; Vedik; Aravi; Aaleya; Aradhya; Agmaya; Vivaan; Vabhivi; Darv; Saveya; Seerat and Tavishi were awarded prizes for their outstanding performances and achievements in school for the time gone by during the current session. Various prizes categories included Most Active Child; Sham Stage Smart; Flat Race; Fancy Dress Competition; Oral Hygiene; Cut and Paste; Over All Best Performance; Rabbit Race; Most Friendly; Tremendous Progress and Well Behaved Student for the year.
The morning concluded with a speech by the chief guest who showed her appreciation for the children and requested parents, to be always by the sides of their children. The day ended on a positive note where everyone forgot their worries and got transformed into the new world filled with joy and innocence.
