Shimla Governor Urges Councillors to Support ‘Drug-Free Campaign’

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla hosted a dinner for the councillors of the Municipal Corporation of Shimla at Raj Bhavan on Monday evening. Mayor Surender Chauhan and Deputy Mayor Uma Kaushal were also present on the occasion.

During the discussions, the Governor urged the councillors to actively support and promote the ‘Drug-Free Campaign’ initiated by him in their respective wards. He also engaged in detailed discussions regarding various developmental activities in the city.

This was the first time that the Governor extended an invitation to all the councillors of the Municipal Corporation for a dinner at Raj Bhavan. The councillors expressed their gratitude to the Governor for this initiative and the honour extended to them.

Secretary to the Governor C.P. Verma and Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation Bhupinder Attri were also present amongst others.
