SJPNL Urges Residents to Use Single Helpline

To ensure uninterrupted 24×7 drinking water supply, SUEZ is carrying out major work across several wards, including laying new pipelines and repairing existing ones. As this involves excavation and ongoing pipeline replacement, temporary inconvenience to residents is expected.

In this context, SJPNL and SUEZ have urged Shimla residents to contact only the SJPNL helpline — 87671 98000 for any water-related complaint, enquiry, or issue. This will allow field teams to respond promptly and resolve problems without delay.

SUEZ PRO Rahul Sharma highlighted that while 30–35 complaints are received daily, delayed or indirect reporting often slows field operations. He emphasized that registering all complaints directly via the helpline is the most effective way to ensure a timely response.

All activities related to pipeline installation, repairs, excavation, and road restoration are being handled by SUEZ. Residents are requested to immediately report any leakage, obstruction, or inconvenience caused by ongoing work through the helpline, so corrective action can be taken swiftly.

Under Phase-2, pipeline and repair work is currently in progress in the following areas: Cemetery, Shanti Vihar, Indra Nagar, Bhattakufer, and Dhingudhar. SUEZ stated that with the cooperation of local residents, the project can be completed on schedule. Delays in reporting issues, however, can slow progress and impact the city’s future water supply capacity.

SJPNL and SUEZ have implemented an Integrated Customer Service System, eliminating the need to contact multiple officers or different numbers. For any water-related complaint, enquiry, or information, residents should use only the helpline number: 87671 98000.
