In a momentous achievement, Nand Lal Sharma, the Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN, was honored with the prestigious First Prize of the NTPC Rajbhasha Shield for the year 2022-23. This recognition was conferred upon him by R. K Singh, the Hon’ble Union Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy. The award ceremony, graced by the presence of Geeta Kapur, Director (Personnel) of SJVN, along with other esteemed senior officers from the Ministry of Power, various Power PSUs, and SJVN, celebrated the outstanding implementation of the Official Language Policy.
Expressing his gratitude, Sharma emphasized that this accolade stands as a testament to SJVN’s exceptional dedication and proficiency in effectively executing Rajbhasha initiatives across the corporation’s diverse projects and offices. Nand Lal Sharma further highlighted SJVN’s consistent commitment by disclosing that the corporation had also secured the NTPC Rajbhasha Shield Consolation Prize for the preceding year, 2021-22. These noteworthy awards were presented during a significant gathering of the Hindi Advisory Committee held in New Delhi, a platform that fosters language development under the aegis of the Ministry of Power.
