SJVN Tree Plantation Drive In Shimla Under #Plant4Mother Campaign

In a significant stride towards environmental conservation, SJVN organized a large-scale tree plantation drive near Ghannati, Shimla, as part of the nationwide # Plant4Mother ( #name_of_a_tree_mother_ ) campaign .

Mrs. Bhawna Sharma, the Chief Patron of the Satluj Shree Ladies Club, graced the plantation drive as the chief guest and initiated the campaign by planting an oak tree. Mrs. Bhawna Sharma emphasized the critical importance of environmental conservation and the role that each individual can play in preserving our natural resources for future generations.

She praised the efforts of SJVN in spearheading this vital initiative, as the campaign progresses, SJVN will continue to play a leading role in ensuring the vision of a greener, more sustainable India. Sanjeev Gupta, Head of Department & Chief General Manager Environment highlighted the importance of this campaign and the broader environmental goals it seeks to achieve.

By participating in this campaign, SJVN not only aligns with the national agenda of increasing green cover but the campaign encourages individuals and organizations alike to adopt environmentally friendly practices, contributing to a nationwide movement that seeks to mitigate the effects of climate change and promote biodiversity.

The plantation drive was witnessed by Senior Officials of SJVN, Mrs. Madhurima Singh, Chairperson of the Satluj Shree Ladies Club SJVN employees, members of the Satluj Shree Ladies Club, and other stakeholders. 200 oak trees were planted during this plantation drive.
