Students of Swarn Public School, Tutikandi, exhibited an excellent display of creativity along with their physical strength as they organized a two days long Sports Meet (May 31 – June 1).
Various games and activities were held on both days that made the it interesting not only for the participants alone but even for the spectators. The day started by welcoming of the Chief Guest Anand Kaushal, Councilor Tutikandi, Shimla.
After the March Past , games like ball relay, hurdle with ring, ball relay race, cones drop with small balls, hurdle race, balloon blast, football play with hockey, simple race,obstacle race, ring pass, ball activity, dumbbell, ring pass, badminton ball pass, ready to party, cycle race, marble, cones transfer game, Lazium, play with rings, play with balls and holder, ring / wheel race, bricks race, ball game/ leg strength game, kabaddi played by boys and girls, play with rings and holders, ring/ wheel rings, long jump and junk in the trunk to name some. On day two Junior Sports Meet was held which was started with Marching Oath by the sports captain / vice captain and then followed yet another set of wonder and entertaining games that included hurdle with race, newspaper race, simple race, hurdle race, holder race, three rings with holder, obstacle race, ring passing race, throwing ball race, play with balloons, sliding, play with ball race, colour papers, dumbbell, through the balls, ball pass race, play with cones, Lazium (senior girls), obstacle race, badminton , chess (senior ) and carrom board.
Principal Government Sr Sec School Phagli, Rama Tegta graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Both the guests were extremely pleased with the creative performance of the students, above all they appreciated the creative mind behind designing each game as they all brought novelty to the games to keep the spectators spell bounded.
The entire school students participated in this meet putting their best foot forward learning the meaning of team effort, empathy and be supportive individual as each game was not only entertaining but also had a read between the lines message that each student learned as the games concluded.
Speaking on the occasion School Principal Seema Mehta said, “It was a great pleasure to present the hard work of the teachers in form of a Sports Meet. Each child is a winner as they have learned a lesson which is beyond any trophy as this lesson passes into character of an individual.”
The day ended on a happy note with the national anthem.
