State Honours Conferred on Himachal Day

CM Sukhu conferred State-Level Awards 2026 on distinguished individuals and institutions during Himachal Day celebrations, recognizing their exceptional contributions and services across various fields.

The Civil Services Award was presented to Deputy Commissioner Mandi Apoorv Devgan and the Department of Digital Technology & Governance in the institutional category, while Smritika Negi received the honour in the individual category.

Under the Prerna Srot Samman, Charu Sharma and Chhonzin Angmo were awarded in the individual category. The group category included members of the Indian National Women’s Kabaddi Team—Ritu Negi, Sakshi Sharma, Pushpa, Bhawan Devi and Champa Thakur—along with the Department of Urology at Chamiyana Hospital.

The Himachal Gaurav Award was conferred upon Prem Lal Gautam, O P Sharma, Brij Sharma, Harleen Kaur and Snehlata for their notable achievements.

District-level honours were also presented to police personnel and Public Works Department officials from Kinnaur for their exemplary services.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister distributed land ownership documents to 24 families under the Forest Rights Act. Additionally, nine beneficiaries received financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh each as the first installment for house construction under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board scheme.

The event also saw recognition of parade contingents and cultural troupes who participated in the Himachal Day celebration.
