Students of Auckland House School for Boys exhibited extraordinary acting skills as they staged four different plays during an Inter House English Dramatic Completion held here today. The competition was held between the four Houses: Durrant, French, Lefroy and Matthew, where each House presented a different flavour of life right from comedy to tragedy, from fun to lust for money based on the spectators’ prospective.
French House presented David Pinski’s “A Dollar” – that showcased how money can change a person. A group of people travelling together get against each other as soon as the question of money pops up. The play showed how money can change sweet love into a hateful emotion as soon as money gets in question.
“Bloody Mary” staged by boys of Mathew House depicted a story of a con man and woman who fooled people and robbed them of their money. An inspector disguised as a handicapped man comes to capture them. While the inspector is busy day dreaming about the praises he will get Mary and her partner runs away.
“The Doll’s House” revolved around a banker and his wife who are not happy in their married life. The wife borrows a hefty amount from her husband’s junior who keeps on blackmailing her. In the end, the conflict is resolved and the wife decides to divorce her husband. (CLICK TO SEE ALL VIDEOS)
