Students of GNFPS School Participate in a Spell Check Competition

GNFPS_19517 (4)Spellings are important because it aids in reading. It helps cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters. An Inter House Spell Check Competition was organised in Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Mohali in the school campus, for Classes IV to VIII. This competition was one out of the numerous enjoyable competitions that give students a platform to learn spellings in different ways.

GNFPS_19517 (3)It also helps the students to improve their spellings, increase their vocabulary, learn concepts, and develop the use of correct English. As a result, children are able to read and write more effectively and score well in tests.

Children participated earnestly in the competition. Their efforts and initiatives were appreciated by one and all. The students of Vigyan House — Jobanpreet, Jasmeen Kaur, Ayush Mishra, Mannatvir, Simrat Verma, Harpreet Kaur, Navleen Kaur, Rupinder Kaur, Kashish Sharma, Gurleen Kaur bagged the first position.

GNFPS_19517 (1)Navjot Kaur, Amrit, Vraneet Kaur, Pawitosh, Amandeep Singh, Amrinder Singh, Khushpreet Kaur, Gurmanpreet Kaur of Parkash House secured second position and Sukhmanpreet Kaur, Charu, Gurjot Singh, Jaspreet Kaur, Kusanpreet Kaur, Paramvir Kaur, Raj Kumar, Gurvir Singh, Ekampreet, Harleen Kaur of Upkar House got third position.

Principal Poonam Sharma encouraged the children for maximum participation and also appreciated the efforts made by the teachers to make it successful.
