The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to aiding orchardists and farmers in transporting their produce to Mandis (markets). He instructed concerned departments to expedite road repairs before the peak apple season by August 15 to minimize disruptions for farmers.
Sukhu reaffirmed the allocation of over Rs. 110 crore to the Public Works Department for road repairs in apple-growing regions of the state. He assured that financial constraints would not impede efforts to restore roads and bridges affected by heavy rainfall.
