The launch event witnessed the presence of top dignitaries including the Governor and Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Union Ministers for Railways, IT, Law & Justice, and other senior officials. Key leadership from SJVN including CMD (Additional Charge) Bhupender Gupta, Director (Projects) Sushil Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma, and Director (Finance) Rajendra Prasad Goyal also joined the event virtually. Senior officials of SJVN and SGEL participated in the ceremony at Bikaner.

The Nawa Solar Project is projected to generate approximately 254.51 million units of electricity in its first year and a total of 5850 million units over 25 years. The power will be supplied to RUVITL at a tariff of ₹2.62 per unit. This initiative is expected to reduce over 2.86 lakh tonnes of carbon emissions during its operational life, aligning with India’s commitment to achieving a net zero carbon emission economy by 2070.

Scheduled for commissioning by 31 December 2025, the project will also create direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region. SJVN is further contributing to community development through initiatives focused on education, drinking water, sanitation, healthcare, and women empowerment in nearby areas.

As a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, SJVN has commissioned 13 power projects with a total installed capacity of 2786.5 MW and 123 km of transmission lines. The company continues to expand its presence across India and in neighboring Nepal, driving the nation’s clean energy transformation.
