St. Thomas’ School celebrated the 78th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The entire school community—from nursery to Class 12—came together for a vibrant and memorable event.
The celebrations began with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag by the chief guest, Sushma Kuthiala, Councillor of Ward No. 14, Ram Bazaar. This was followed by a series of cultural performances that filled the atmosphere with national pride.
Students showcased their talents through patriotic songs, energetic dances, heartfelt poem recitations, and a thought-provoking short play—all expressing deep love and respect for the country.
Principal Vidhupriya Chakravarty and Vice Principal Sharon Nanda warmly welcomed and honored the chief guest. In her address, Councillor Sushma Kuthiala emphasized the significance of independence and urged the young generation to actively contribute to nation-building. She also spoke on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and staying away from harmful habits like drug use.
Principal Chakravarty extended Independence Day wishes to all and lauded the students for their excellent performances. She encouraged them to grow into responsible citizens dedicated to the progress of the nation.
The celebrations concluded on a high note with the singing of the National Anthem, leaving everyone uplifted and proud.
