During his visit, the Governor took firsthand feedback on the school’s academic environment, infrastructure facilities, and the challenges being faced by institutions in remote regions. He also engaged with students, encouraging them to pursue their studies with dedication, confidence, and a strong sense of purpose.

Speaking on the occasion, Governor Gupta said that children represent the future of the nation, and strengthening educational infrastructure in rural and remote schools must remain a top priority. He emphasized the need to ensure quality education for every child, regardless of geographical challenges, along with improved classrooms, sanitation facilities, digital learning tools, and an encouraging learning environment in government schools.

The Governor expressed satisfaction over Himachal Pradesh’s significant progress in the field of education at the national level. Referring to the Performance Grading Index (PGI) 2.0 and PGI-D 2024–25 reports issued by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, he noted that the state has secured the sixth position nationally and third among states, reflecting substantial improvement in the education sector.

He also discussed the concept of strategic school mergers for better utilization of resources and manpower, stating that such measures could enhance educational quality, provide students with improved academic exposure, and increase administrative efficiency.

Governor Gupta further stressed that education plays a vital role in building a progressive society and urged teachers to continue their dedicated efforts in shaping young minds. He particularly appreciated the contribution of educators serving in difficult and remote areas.
