St. Thomas’ School Hosts Workshop on AI and CT

St. Thomas’ School, Shimla, organised a CBSE In-House Workshop on Assessment and Pedagogy in Computational Thinking (CT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), focusing on strengthening educators’ understanding of emerging technologies and modern teaching practices.

The workshop began with a welcome address by Principal Sharon Nanda, who highlighted the importance of integrating CT and AI into education to develop future-ready skills among students.

Teachers from St. Thomas’ School, along with educators from other institutions, actively participated in the event. They presented case studies and research papers on innovative classroom practices, AI integration, assessment strategies, and technology-driven learning models.

The presentations served as a platform for knowledge sharing and highlighted the importance of critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and digital literacy in today’s technology-driven world. Educators also demonstrated how CT and AI can be effectively introduced through activity-based and project-based learning approaches.

The presentations were evaluated by a panel of judges comprising Dr. Balvir Singh, Assistant Professor from Himachal Pradesh University; Hitesh Sharma and Harsh Gupta from St. Thomas’ School, who appreciated the efforts of the participants and provided constructive feedback on improving pedagogical and assessment practices.

The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal Sharon Nanda, who acknowledged the enthusiastic participation of all educators and described the event as a meaningful step towards strengthening future-ready education.

The initiative reinforced the school’s commitment to equipping teachers and students with essential 21st-century skills through the integration of Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence in classroom learning.
