Powering the Future: 780 MW Jangi Thopan Powari Project Handed to HP Power Corporation
Himachal Pradesh takes a major step toward energy security by handing over the 780 MW Jangi Thopan Powari Hydro Power Project to HP Power Corporation Ltd. Additional allocations include the 1630 MW Renukaji and 270 MW Thana Plaun Pump Storage Projects, signaling a transformative leap in the state’s renewable energy landscape.

Strengthening Healthcare: Critical Care Units, Rogi Kalyan Samitis, and Mobile Forensic Vans
The Cabinet has approved the setup of 50-bedded Critical Care Blocks at Dehra and Paonta Sahib Civil Hospitals. The Sub-Committee under Health Minister Col. Dhani Ram Shandil will review and strengthen Rogi Kalyan Samitis for enhanced healthcare services. To boost forensic capabilities, six new Mobile Forensic Vans are being introduced.

Education Reforms: SCERT Solan Elevated, DIETs Strengthened for Teacher Development
In a bid to improve educational quality, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in Solan is now the apex body for academic research and teacher training. Strengthening 12 District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) will offer professional development opportunities for teachers across the state.

The Cabinet has sanctioned a new Police Station at Sissu in Lahaul-Spiti, along with the creation of 18 new posts. Additionally, six new posts have been created for the recently opened Police Post at Hatli in Chamba district, further enhancing law enforcement across the state.
