Aadil Bedi shot best round today at Link Golf Course Golden Greens Gurgaon in the ongoing Northern India Junior Golf Championship as he took a massive lead of 11 strokes from Kartic Sharma of Kolkatta. Aadil shot 2 under 70 on the opening day followed by 7 under 65 on day 2. He started day 2 with aggressive play with birdies on holes 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 with 6 under opening then birdie 12, 16 with 2 under back nine with one boggy on 13. Aadil is 9 under 135 which is clear by 11 stroke who is at 146 (73, 73) after the close of day 2.
Aadil said, “The conditions were tough at the Link Golf Course as it was cold and foggy. Teed off delayed by 4 hours. But course is playing very beautifully. From last 10 rounds I am able to shoot under pars consistently. Work with Jesse Grewal and my new mentor Bob Byman who are helping me a lot. Only one match is left after this as the All India Final at ITC Classic begins next week before the All India Merit will finalize. I have only played 6 matches so far out of 11. For merit qualification minimum 8 matches are required. At present I am holding at 3rd position in IGU Merit list of A category, but my ranking will improve after next 2 matches.”
