Auckland House School Boys delivered a stellar performance at the CISCE Himachal Pradesh Zonal Basketball Tournament, held at Bishop Cotton School, Shimla from July 12 to 13, emerging as a dominant force across all categories.

The Auckland team secured gold medals in both the Under-17 and Under-19 categories and finished as runners-up in the Under-14 division, demonstrating depth and talent in every age group.

The tournament witnessed participation from four schools: Bishop Cotton School (Shimla), Auckland House School Boys (Shimla), Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School (Dharamshala), and Almighty Public School (Hamirpur).

In the Under-17 final, Auckland Boys triumphed over host school BCS with a 53-36 win, with Jayas Larje standing out for his exceptional performance and game-winning skills.

In the Under-19 final, Auckland once again overpowered BCS, registering a convincing 73-32 victory. Key contributions came from Sushant, Ishan Rana, Samarth Thakur, Chaitanya Joshi, and Aarhan, whose coordination and defense were central to the team’s success.

In the Under-14 segment, Auckland defeated Almighty Public School (Hamirpur) in the semi-finals but fell short in the final against BCS, earning the runner-up position.

The impressive showing has solidified Auckland House School Boys’ reputation as a powerhouse in school-level basketball and reflects the growing standard of youth sports in Himachal Pradesh.
