BSN.JAN15It had always been a motto of BSN students to ‘dare to dream impossible’! And they prove it yet again. On the occasion of ‘National Energy Conservation Day’, on 14th December students of BSN interacted with the Power Minister, Piyush Goyal. The function was a national event where the Minster interacted with students from all over India. Varioud schools were selected for this event. This was a life time opportunity for all the students across the country.Thirteen students representing BSN School were — Abhishek Kapoor, Bhumi Sharma, Richa, Sakshi Panwar, Shubra, Tanvi, Harsha Sharma, Mohd. Zaid, Sayem Singh, Suhani Kapoor, Akshit Kapoor, Kaavy Sharma and Ishita Thakur as they were accompanied by two teachers — Alka Sonaria, and Ankita Chandel.

The students questioned the Minister about adopting energy efficienct appliances and conservation. Only two were selected for the interaction. The questions were asked by Abhishek Kapoor and Bhumi Sharma. The Minister requested the students to become the torch bearers so that they could bring about a change in the society. He asked all children to become self-energy auditors of their homes and schools to make this thing happen. On being asked, “How is the government planning to explore dedicated financial institutions for the purpose of energy efficiency?”, he replied that he would look into this matter and to take appropriate steps.

After the interaction, the Minister was very impressed and he showed keen interest to visit BSN School. The children were satisfied and happy to interact with the honorable minister. The change in their confidence level was seen as they learnt few important lessons about life.
