CBSE Schools to Get Full Teaching Staff by June End

Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhu announced that all CBSE-pattern schools in the state will have teachers appointed by June 30 this year. He was addressing a public gathering at Jakbar in Fatehpur assembly constituency of Kangra district.

The Chief Minister also announced the setting up of an industrial area in Fatehpur at a cost of ₹10 crore. He further stated that the office of the Chief Engineer of the Shah Canal project, earlier shifted from Fatehpur to Mandi, will be re-established in Fatehpur.

Financial assistance of ₹20,000 each was announced for local Mahila Mandals, along with ₹50 lakh for the renovation of Wazir Ram Singh Stadium.

Highlighting administrative reforms, the Chief Minister said that an inquiry has been ordered into alleged irregularities in the Himcare health scheme.

On education, he said that 151 schools have been brought under the CBSE pattern and teacher recruitment will be completed by June 30 through state-level examinations. He added that Himachal Pradesh has now improved significantly in education rankings, reaching 5th position in the country.

In the health sector, he informed that Model Health Institutions have been established in every assembly constituency, with the Fatehpur institution now having eight specialist doctors.

The Chief Minister also outlined steps to strengthen the rural economy, including procurement of natural turmeric at ₹150 per kg, cow milk at ₹61 per litre, and buffalo milk at ₹71 per litre. A modern dairy processing plant worth around ₹200 crore is being set up in Dagwar, Kangra district.

He added that support measures are being extended to fisherfolk, including reduced royalty rates and financial assistance during fishing ban periods.

Welfare schemes for orphan children, widows, and single women were also highlighted, along with the identification of over one lakh extremely poor families under a state-wide BPL survey.

MLA and Vice Chairman of the State Planning Board Bhawani Singh Pathania thanked the Chief Minister for development projects, stating that the upcoming bridge and industrial area will significantly transform the region’s economy.
