Community Development Scheme

The State Government has introduced the ‘Community Development Scheme’ to accelerate the development and socio-economic transformation of tribal areas. This dedicated initiative by the Rural Development department prioritizes the needs of the tribal population, allocating funds accordingly.

The scheme gives the highest priority to Tribal Areas and villages with over 40 percent tribal population, followed by non-Tribal Areas with lower tribal representation. This approach ensures equal focus on tribal communities and addresses their specific challenges.

The ‘Community Development Scheme’ aims to make significant progress in connectivity, communication, rural health, and education. It covers a range of projects, including infrastructure development, public facilities, waste management, and restoration of natural resources.

The approval process involves committees and designated authorities who review and grant financial sanctions and administrative approvals for the proposed works.

Minister for Rural Development, Anirudh Singh, acknowledges the Chief Minister’s commitment to Tribal Areas’ development. The launch of the ‘Community Development Scheme’ reflects the government’s dedication to uplift tribal communities.
