Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today inaugurated and laid foundation stones of development projects worth more than Rs. 62 crore in Sarkaghat assembly constituency of district Mandi. The Chief Minister was presiding over the ‘Pragatisheel Himachal: Sathapna ke 75 Varsh’ function organized at the sports ground of Government Senior Secondary School, Sarkaghat. On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated Jabothi Bridge constructed on Bahi-Sulpur-Jahu road worth Rs. 3.95 crore, rest house of Public Works Department Jamni worth Rs. 60 lakh and Science Faculty classes at Government College, Baldwara. Chief Minister laid foundation stone of Industrial Training Institute, Mauhi worth Rs. 12.60 crore, 150 crore Kalthri bridge to be constructed in Bhadrol Road, Panchwati Park Kash to Bhadrota link road worth Rs. 2.25 crore, reconstruction of drinking water scheme Jangal Thankar (Gram Panchayat ticket) worth Rs. 53 Lakh, reconstruction and improvement of various flow irrigation schemes in Jal Shakti sub-division Bhaddrawad under NABARD worth Rs 2.23 crore, reconstruction of lift drinking water scheme Ropa Thathar worth Rs.61 lakh, Public Works Department’s rest house Baldwara to be constructed by spending Rs. 1.51 crore, Civil Hospital Baldwara, Government Industrial Training Institute Batail building worth Rs. 12.66 crore, Building of Government Industrial Training Institute Bhadrota worth Rs. 14.89 crore.
Reconstruction of lift drinking water supply scheme Samaila with Rs. 84 lakh, Reconstruction of lift drinking water scheme Batail in Gram Panchayat Bhambla to be constructed by spending Rs. 67 lakh, 33 KV power distribution centre at Electricity Sub-Division Smaila of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board at a cost of Rs.7.33 crore. Apart from this he also laid foundation stones of the building of Multi Technical Training Institute Bhadrota and the building of Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya Sirohali on the occasion. Jai Ram Thakur said that due to various programs being organized on completion of 75 years of progress of Himachal Pradesh, youth of the state are getting an opportunity to get acquainted with the past and present of the state. He said that by organizing this program, people are getting an opportunity to remember the contribution of various leaders in the progress of the state and they are also getting aware of the then and now developmental aspects of the state. He said that the present tenure of the BJP government can be seen as a synonym for progress and prosperity in the development journey of Himachal Pradesh. He said that the people of the state were immensely benefited from schemes like Mukhya Mantri Swavalamban Yojna.

The Chief Minister said that the ambitious schemes of the Centre Government have a special contribution in the prosperity of Himachal Pradesh. The central government has given many gifts to Himachal Pradesh. Due to the generous financial support of the Central Government, the 9.02 km long Atal Tunnel, Rohtang became a reality. This tunnel was built at a height of 10 thousand 171 feet at a cost of Rs. 3,200 crore and is considered as the longest tunnel in the world. Apart from this the State has got the gift of six medical colleges including AIIMS in Bilaspur and PGI’s satellite center at Una. Medical Device Park is being set up at Nalagarh in Solan district, which would provide employment to 10,000 people and a bulk pharma park in Una for which worth about one thousand 200 crores has got in-principle approval from the Central Government. The Hati community of Trans Giri Area of Sirmaur district have been given the status of Schedule tribe and In-principle approval for the innovative urban transport ropeway project of worth Rs. 1,546 crore 40 lakh for Shimla city was given by the Central Government.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the Party which has failed to create employment opportunities even after being in power for decades in the state, is today taking out yatras against unemployment. The party which guarantees development in the state has no guarantee of its own existence. He said that while the senior Congress leaders are busy in Bharat Jodo Yatra, the workers and leaders of the same Congress party are joining the Congress Choro Yatra. The enlightened people of the state are going to be the architects of the mission repeat of the BJP government in the State. MLA Colonel Inder Singh Thakur also expressed his views on this occasion. Jal Shakti Minister Mahendra Singh Thakur, Deputy Commissioner Mandi Arindam Chaudhary, Superintendent of Police Shalini Agnihotri, representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions and BJP leaders were also present on the occasion.
