Lok Sabha Elections In Shimla – District Election Officer Shimla Anupam Kashyap said that with the announcement of Lok Sabha elections by the Election Commission of India, Model Code of Conduct has been implemented in the state including district Shimla, which will remain in force till the counting of votes is completed.

He said that various cases related to violation of Model Code of Conduct will be settled as per rules. The District Election Officer urged all the political parties that information about all the provisions of the Model Code of Conduct implemented in view of the Lok Sabha Elections-2024 is being provided to the representatives of the political parties from time to time so that during the election process, there is no violation of the Code.

Apart from this, most important works can be done only with the prior approval of the Election Commission. The District Election Officer said that various monitoring teams have been formed to ensure compliance with the Model Code of Conduct.

He asked the representatives of political parties to ensure that all eligible people, who have completed 18 years of age on April 01, 2024, get registered as voters so that they can contribute to this festival of democracy. He said that the candidates should pay special attention while filling the nomination so that no mistake is found in the form at the time of scrutiny. Apart from this, if there is any doubt about anything, the political parties should bring it to the notice of the administration in the coming days so that their Solution can be done.

Anupam Kashyap told the representatives of political parties that the administration has held a meeting with the officials of Uttarkashi and Dehradun through video conference in which it has been decided to make special arrangements in the border areas so that the execution of Lok Sabha elections can be done with better coordination.
