Governor Kavinder Gupta attended the Ganesh Utsav organized by the Siddhi Vinayak Seva Mandal Trust at Middle Bazaar today. Offering traditional prayers to Lord Ganesha, the Governor sought blessings for the overall health, happiness, and prosperity of the people of Himachal Pradesh.
Extending his warm greetings on Ganesh Chaturthi, the Governor praised the organizers for hosting the festival. He noted that such cultural gatherings foster a strong spiritual environment while playing a crucial role in connecting youth with the country’s ancient Sanatan traditions.
Highlighting the deep-rooted cultural significance of the deity, he described Lord Ganesha as the Vighnaharta (remover of obstacles) and Mangalkarta (bestower of good fortune), emphasizing why every auspicious venture in Indian tradition begins with his worship. He called for unified efforts to preserve and pass on this heritage to future generations.
In addition to the spiritual message, Governor Gupta also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign policy following the successful BRICS summit in New Delhi, stating that India’s international standing and diplomatic ties have reached unprecedented heights under his leadership.
