Governor releases books of Ashwani Verma

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today released two books of senior journalist Ashwani Verma, ‘Lord Shri Parashuram’ and ‘Shri Yamuna’, in Raj Bhavan Shimla.

While applauding the author’s efforts, the Governor said that these religious books are treasure of knowledge for the readers. He said that in Lord Shri Parashuram book, the author has cited the reference of Ramayana, Mahabharata and Puranas and has published various incarnations of Lord Shri Parshuram. He said that various subjects including the glory of Shri Renuka Ji Tirtha, the Kurukshetra and the Ram-Lakshman Parshuram dialogues have been presented with great devotion.

The Governor further added that in the second book titled Shri Yamuna, the author has not presented Yamuna as a river but as mother citing various references. While extending his wishes to the writer, the Governor asked him to continue his endeavor in future also.

Ashwini Verma expressed his gratitude towards the Governor and gave detailed information about his research work for publishing these books. Secretary to the Governor, Rajesh Sharma was also present on the occasion.
