A delegation comprising two Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers from the 2024 batch and 19 probationers from the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services (HAS) and Allied Services 2025 batch, currently undergoing training at the Dr. Manmohan Singh Institute of Public Administration (HIPA), Fairlawns, visited Governor at Raj Bhavan today.
During an interactive session, Governor Shukla extended his congratulations to the young officers and urged them to embrace their responsibilities with integrity and dedication. He emphasized the importance of selfless service, reminding them that public welfare must remain their top priority.
“An administrator’s role is rooted in duty, not authority,” the Governor remarked, stressing that humility and a service-oriented mindset are essential qualities for civil servants. He
encouraged the officers to stay connected with grassroots realities, act as facilitators of change, and remain empathetic to the needs of the common people.
The probationers introduced themselves and engaged in meaningful discussions with the Governor on governance and societal challenges. The Governor advised them to evolve as not only efficient administrators but also as collaborators and community leaders.
Director of Dr. MSHIPA, Rupali Thakur, presented an overview of the training programme’s structure and goals, thanking the Governor for his valuable guidance. Additional Director Prashant Sirkek and Course Director Sandeep Sharma also attended the session.
