The Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh today chaired a State-Level Training Conference to review preparedness for the first phase of Census 2027, focusing on house listing and housing census. Highlighting the Census as a key national responsibility, he urged that it be completed timely and accurately through coordinated efforts across all departments.
The Chief Secretary directed officers to prioritize census-related training, ensure adequate human resources, and strengthen technological readiness. He emphasized that these steps are crucial to ensure the process is fair, transparent, and error-free.
The conference also included detailed discussions on the action plan for the first phase of Census 2027 and its effective implementation at the grassroots level. Secretary GAD, Rajesh Sharma, outlined the roles and responsibilities of various departments and stressed the need for collaboration among all stakeholders for the successful execution of census operations.
